I designed this Red Flower tutorial for someone who is learning to embroider and like to follow a pattern. However, this is also an excellent project for an experienced embroiderer who wishes to experiment and change given design and pattern to suit their needs.

The main focus is on practicing a few basic stitches and incorporating some beautiful elements like beads of various sizes to add more texture and a unique look to this project.

If you are not familiar with the stitches, I recommend starting with a quick overview of the whole document first and then practice the basic stitches explained in the STITCH LIBRARY. Practice them on a separate piece of fabric to get more confidence and a better understanding of stitches. A big focus is placed on the color selection for the flower. Although I am suggesting DMC color codes for your convenience feel free to use your own color combinations.
